The Flower Hug Project

The Flower Hugs Project delivers joy and hope to seniors, veterans, and caregivers living alone or in care communities by providing flower hugs. These gifts give an unexpected moment of recognition and appreciation to members of our most vulnerable populations.

Delivering to individuals or through programs such as:

  • Adult Day Care Centers

  • Assisted Living Facilities

  • Caregivers

  • First Responders

  • Food Pantries

  • Local Hospitals

  • Long-Term Care Facilities

  • Meals on Wheels Program

  • Nursing Homes

  • Rehabilitation Centers

  • Senior Housing

  • Shelters

How do we do it? The Salem Area Women's Club partners with local florists, funeral homes, grocery stores, hotels, and venues to upcycle their slightly used flowers. We have a team of volunteers ready to pick up donated arrangements, reassemble into small bouquets, and deliver them.

This is awesome! How can I help? If you would like to partner with us by donating flowers  or floral supplies vases, please visit our website or contact the Arts and Culture Chairwomen Joanne Cuomo (603-247-1193, centanni@comcast.net) and Shamim Calcuttawala (603-401-4075 shamimcalc@outlook.com)
